Common Questions

Q: I have never been in a car accident. I don’t know what to do or what questions to ask. Can you help me?

A: Absolutely. We are in the profession of fixing cars and we work for our customers! We are more than happy to assist you through the entire repair process, and answer any questions you may have.

Q: My insurance agent or claims department has given me a short list of where to take my vehicle. Do I need to go to one of these shops?

A: No. Nebraska state law states you, the car owner, have the choice of where to have your car repaired. By doing so, you will never pay more than your deductible and the warranty extended depends on the individual shop as opposed to the insurance company used.

Q: Does Searl Auto Body warranty its work?

A: Yes, Searl Auto Body gives a 100% warranty on both parts and labor for as long as you own the vehicle.

Q: What are your standard hours of operation?

A: Monday - Friday 7:30am to 5pm

Q:  How do I schedule a rental car and arrange for pick up when my vehicle is completed?

A:  We would be happy to make rental arrangements for you if you let us know when scheduling your vehicle.  Rental cars can be picked up and dropped back off from OUR LOCATION for your convenience.

Q: Will there be any additional out-of-pocket cost beyond what is included in my estimate?

A: It is important to remember that if your personal insurance is involved you never pay more than your deductible. If you are the claimant in an accident and the other driver's insurance is involved you will pay nothing out-of-pocket. If you are personally paying for repairs to your vehicle, at Searl Auto Body we do everything in our control to charge our customers their original estimated price. However, there are occasions when damage has occurred that is not visible at time of estimate with an external visual inspection. Our estimators are experienced enough we inform all potential customers of this possibility in most cases at the time of the estimate.

Q: Do I have to have my deductible to start the repairs on my vehicle?

A: You do not have to have your deductible to schedule your repairs.  The deductible is collected when repairs are completed and you pick-up the vehicle.

Q: I can’t seem to find time to get my car scheduled for repairs, what can I do?

A: Give us a call. It is possible our pick-up and delivery services will add the needed convenience to your tight schedule.
